Cat flu outbreak

Cat flu outbreak

Just yesterday there was a massive outbreak of the painful disease of the cat flu.

The experts dont know how to stop it from spreading around central Melbourne.

Cat flu is diagnosed on the basis of clinical signs.

If requested, the virus can be identified by sending a swab of discharge or tears to the laboratory.

If your cat has had the flu, dont allow him to come into contact with unvaccinated cats and/or kittens.

Another cat disease for us to worry about is conjunctivitis it causes nasal discharge and constant sneezing.

There is no vaccine available in Australia at this moment.

This disease is found in kittens aged 5-9 Months.
